
Sonia Holzheimer, M.AIRAH FIEAust CPEng NPER RPEQ
Sonia is a mechanical engineer with over 20 years of experience in Cairns’ building and construction industry. After graduating from university, she launched her career with boutique building services firm MGF Consultants (NQ). At MGF (NQ) Sonia was involved in the design of Australia’s first 5-star NABERS (formerly AGBR) building, William McCormack Place I, as well as Australia’s first 6-star Green Star building constructed in the tropics, William McCormack Place II.
In 2014, Sonia co-founded SEQUAL, a Cairns based multi-discipline engineering firm. A Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland, a Fellow of Engineers Australia and an AIRAH member for over 20 years, she is a trusted advisor to institutions like JCU, Cairns Hospital, Ports North and the Cairns Regional Council.
