Embracing responsibility and driving change

As I reflect on my personal journey with AIRAH over the past seven years, it’s clear that the past six months have been transformative. It’s during this time that I’ve come to see AIRAH not just as an organisation, but as a catalyst for positive change in our world.

Of course, during this time I’ve been serving as AIRAH’s CEO, a privilege and responsibility that I do not take lightly. Before that I served in a variety of roles for AIRAH, first in finance, and then as Chief Operating Officer.

In today’s landscape, we face a multitude of challenge – climate change, global warming, inflation, skill shortages, digital disruption, and geopolitical tensions. These issues impact us all, regardless of our location or profession. Yet, amid these challenges lie opportunities for growth and collaboration.

As humans, we are inherently resilient and adaptive. We thrive in times of change, coming together to tackle challenges head-on. It is this spirit of collaboration and innovation that drives us forward.

Advocating for our people, amplifying their voices, and making a collective impact. Branding our industry to showcase the vital role HVAC&R professionals play in shaping our world. Collaboration with other disciplines within and beyond our industry

At AIRAH, we have a bold vision: to lead the HVAC&R industry in creating a better world. How do we turn this vision into reality? The answer lies in prioritisation and action.

We have developed a three-year strategic plan focused on advocacy, branding, and collaboration. Advocating for our people, amplifying their voices, and making a collective impact. Branding our industry to showcase the vital role HVAC&R professionals play in shaping our world. Collaboration with other disciplines within and beyond our industry.  We can learn, innovate, and share knowledge to drive meaningful change.

This is just the beginning. There is much work to be done, but we are committed to our mission. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue our passage towards a brighter, more sustainable future.
