Q&A: Tim Edwards, Affil.AIRAH

Q&A: Tim Edwards, Affil.AIRAH

We catch up with the Head of Sales for Graphene, which earned the Product Excellence HVAC Award at ARBS 2024.

 Ecolibrium: What’s your background?

Tim Edwards: I am a qualified refrigeration and air conditioning technician by trade.

Eco: What are you enthusiastic about?

TE: I am enthusiastic about new innovative technologies that are continually invented in the HVAC&R industry, and I’m incredibly enthusiastic about our graphene-based coating product and what it can do for the industry globally.

Eco: What do you like about your job?

TE: The fact that I get to work with some of the greatest minds that I have ever met and that no two days are ever the same in my job. One day I may be talking to a potential local distributor or applicator, then the next day I may be talking to a potential large international customer interested in our product, to then be jumping on a flight somewhere to supervise or commence a high-priority coating project.

Eco: What do you find challenging?

TE: My job – The moment that anyone doesn’t find their job challenging anymore is the day they need to find something else.

Eco: What would you most like that you don’t have?

TE: Either an engineering degree or an MBA

Eco: If I wasn’t doing what I’m doing, I’d be a …

TE: I would be probably back doing something hands-on in the field.

Eco: How did it feel to win an ARBS Award?

TE: Winning the Product Excellence HVAC Award and accepting the on behalf of Graphene Manufacturing Group on the night was such a great feeling, and one that I won’t be forgetting anytime soon.

Eco: What do you see as the role of AIRAH in the industry?

TE: I see AIRAH as one of the important industry bodies required for the trade to drive change, provide information, knowledge, additional training, and networking so we can ensure there is an industry in the future.
